The Sage Company was known as Winslow Rod Company. Originally, it only consisted of 6 employees and was located in a 1,500 square foot manufacturing area. Today, Sage Company has 175 employees and is currently operating in a 30,000 square foot manufacturing site.

The Sage fly rod has several different types, which are known across the globe. Some of the most popular rods include the RP or Reverse Power, which is usually used during windy days and casting extra long distances.

The Sage Company also created high-performance graphite rods known as the Graphite III RPL fly rod. It also created its classic Sage fly rod known as the LL Series 2, which is a rod specifically used for light anglers.
